40 Ford Column

Flaming River has introduced steering columns for the popular 1940 Ford, plus other street rods desiring the period “retro” look. The new columns allow the use of the classic Ford steering wheel with no modification or the use of the popular aftermarket steering wheel designs.

The column is based upon the classic stainless steel Flaming River roadster column. The upper end shaft uses a keyed ¾” steering shaft to accept the original Ford steering wheel’s key way design. A second column version uses a splined shaft, and is designed for use with aftermarket reproduction ‘40 Ford-style wheels.

The laser-crafted column uses all-new components including wiring harness, featuring either a 1-1/2” or 1-3/4” stainless steel tube below the CNC-machined cast stainless steel bell to further enhance the retro feel of the wheel/column combination. The column uses a modern, self-canceling turn signal stalk and a hazard-warning switch. The columns are available with a hazard delete option. The columns are available in either polished or mill finish (paint able) versions, and use a ¾”-36 splined output shaft.

53-62 Corvette Non-tilt Steering Column

This early Corvette replacement - ALL NEW non till column fits with the original dash configuration of the early Corvette 1953 - 62. Can also be used in Cobra, roadsters and other custom applications that need to be close to the dash, with a 4-3/16" length upper housing.  The column features GM turn signal/hazard and a splined input shaft 3/4 -36 for easy connection to your existing steering.

Paint able Columns are not painted. They are mill finish stainless steel and are ready to paint.

This billet aluminum roadster column features a sleek, tapered design. Attractive styling for any rod. Dual roller bearing design for smooth, long lasting performance. Polished finish in standard 32 inch length. Uses standard three hole steering wheel mount.

HOT ROD STEERING COLUMN

This 30" steering column features a 1 3/4" polished stainless steel tube, real ball bearings for smooth shaft operation, and a polished aluminum quick release hub. It just doesn't get any cooler than this! This also features a pin for quick steering wheel removal.

1939 BANJO STEERING WHEEL

This great wheel is back and available for your keyhole style steering column. This wheel is one of the best reproduction banjo's on the market. The wheel is 17 inches wide. 1-1.5 inches smaller then the bulky original giving you a little more room to move. (NOT FOR USE WITH GM STYLE COLUMN) Limited availability.
